Prepare for your first driving lesson.
Know what to bring, what to tell your instructor and what to expect, so your first lesson starts with a clear plan.
Before leaving home
Check your booking time, service duration and meeting address. Bring your valid learner permit or applicable driver license and required corrective lenses. Choose comfortable footwear that lets you feel and control the pedals.
Tell us what matters
Mention previous driving experience, the skill you want to improve and any concerns. Confirm pickup, language or vehicle requests with the office; a request is not a guarantee of availability.
During the lesson
Your instructor can explain the controls and plan practice around your level. Ask questions when an instruction is unclear. Observation, controlled speed and safe decisions matter more than rushing through a long list of maneuvers.
Leave with a next step
Ask for feedback on your strongest skill, the most important correction and a suggested focus for next time. Keep your practice legal and within the restrictions of your permit or license.
